HEMP BALES

Hemp Bales

Hemp, as do many other plants, has a complex botanical history on our planet. A member of the geranium family, Cannabis is distantly related to the nettle plant (evident in the pointed leaf structure) and more closely to the hops plant. In fact a mature male Cannabis plant looks very similar to hops, while a mature flowering female may be mistaken at a glance for the more potent, high THC level Cannabis plant. Also, thousands of different strains of hemp are used in the production of a variety of products due to varying tensile strength, the ability to blend with other fibres, etc.; these factors are pre-determined according to whether the plant is grown for its stalk, seeds or oil products. Please browse this section for more detailed information, as understanding the botanical aspects of the plant benefits growers, smokers, and medical patients alike.
